Know the Side Effects before You Buy Green Coffee Bean Extract


Treat all supplements the same way you would treat other pharmaceutical medications and remedies. Do your research on the side effects - the ingredients it contains and what it can potentially do to you after prolonged or short term use.

Side effects are very common for any of food during digestion or absorption. It is not surprising as certain foods such as bread (a simple carbohydrate) can make a person feel lethargic after the meal. Fruit juices in large quantities induce a sugar rush followed by sleepiness just a few hours after. However, such side effects are minimal but if it happens every day, the effects can be life changing.

The type and level of severity of the side effects differ from one person to another depending on several factors such as body type, weight, family history, allergies, environment and stress.  In order to avoid complications, it’s recommended to consult a doctor or nutritionist before purchasing a new health product.


Green Coffee Bean Extract

Health supplements, including weight loss supplements like green coffee bean extract are naturally beneficial. It can lower cholesterol levels and increase the overall metabolic rate of the person taking it regularly. Usually the benefits from its source (in its raw form) are found in the supplements too, but in more concentrated volumes.  So, high levels of antioxidants (specifically chlorogenic acid) found in the green coffee bean also contained in every tablet.  However, the dosage in every capsule is measured carefully so that the full benefit is enjoyed without the danger of any severe side effect.    



Possible Side Effects

The main concern with the green coffee bean extract is caffeine.  Since coffee gives an energy boost, what would happen if a person takes the concentrated form?  Anxiety is a side effect that is most concerning but since the green coffee bean extract has very little caffeine, there is nothing to worry about.  There is ten times more caffeine in a cup of espresso than in a tablet of the green coffee bean extract.
            Other side effects associated with green coffee bean extract are considered to be manageable depending on the individual.


For people who are suffering from glaucoma and bleeding disorders it is not advisable to consume large amounts of coffee, as it could increase the pressure inside the eye. The side effects linked to glaucoma only lasts for 90 minutes and should be considered when taking medication.
