The Green Coffee Bean Health Benefit

Coffee is probably the best loved beverage in the world.  It is known for its rich aroma and its countless flavorful possibilities. Coffee shops think of new flavors every year and they serve it hot or cold, black, foamed, brewed or instant. Coffee and coffee products are part an industry that spans continents, from the coffee growers, to the brewers and the cozy cafés and restaurants.  It is much like a potion that keeps the conversation going and the pastries coming.  Mornings are not the same without it and it’s the reason why we have invented the coffee break.
The beverage itself has its own merit, it is packed with health benefits that have positive effects in the body to fight heart disease, diabetes, certain cancer, Parkinson’s disease.  But in its raw form, the tiny green coffee bean is rich in an antioxidant that may be the answer one of the biggest health problem in the world – obesity and the complication that goes with it.
Coffee Drinkers are less likely to have the following health issues and the same effect also come from the green coffee bean extract:
Type II Diabetes – there has been several studies comprising of thousands of individuals from different culture, lifestyle and demographics which shows that the risk of Type 2 diabetes goes lower in every cup of coffee consumed.  The risk goes down to as much as 7% to 35% depending on how much coffee is consumed in a day.  Doctors say that it is most likely not due to caffeine in the coffee bean but more because of the antioxidants and minerals that come from the coffee beans. It makes sense because coffee has magnesium and chromium that help the body use insulin more effectively.
Heart Disease and Stroke – if it prevents Type 2 diabetes that is big factor in the prevention of heart disease. A 2009 study reveals that women who drink two or more cups daily have 20 % lower risk of stroke.
Cancer – In studies concerning the relation of coffee and the prevention of cancer, the results may be weaker but it is otherwise positively consistent throughout.  The studies reveal that coffee drinkers are less likely to develop liver cirrhosis and liver cancer.
Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s disease – a study in 2009, researchers followed 1,400 people in a span of 20 years.  The reports in the study reviled that that those who drank 3 to 5 cups of coffee a day were less likely to develop dementia and Alzheimer’s disease. This result is consistent with all other studies regarding coffee and the said diseases.
The benefit of weight loss is not credited to coffee drinking but more on the effects of taking a green coffee bean extract.  This is because green coffee bean has high levels of chlorogenic acid that helps control blood sugar and the body’s metabolism.
The coffee beans in your coffee cup do not give the same weight loss benefit as the extract form.  The reason for this is because roasting the green coffee bean reduces the amount of chlorogenic acid.

So for coffee drinkers, enjoying coffee is more than a mood boost but also a health boost. But if your goal is to get be able to reach your targeted healthy weight, drinking coffee day in and day out won’t do it.  Green coffee bean extract is the way to go.

Green Coffee Bean Extract - Weight Loss without Breaking a Sweat

The growing number of studies that confirm the health benefits of drinking coffee has coffee drinkers smiling, because unlike other healthy foods and beverages, it does not have to be forced on them.  According to the health experts, two or more cups a day lowers a person’s risk of heart ailments, diabetes and Parkinson’s disease.
There’s more to the coffee bean that just that because there is a recent weight loss benefit study done on green coffee beans or coffee beans that has not been roasted.  Although the weight loss factor is not associated with drinking coffee, it is good news for coffee lovers nonetheless.
The weight loss supplement from green coffee bean is an extract.  It is then encapsulated in its pure form and is marketed as a supplement for weight management.  The main ingredient in the green coffee bean extract is an antioxidant called chlorogenic acid.  It is an antioxidant that is depleted during the roasting process in coffee making -this why the weight loss advantage is not as effective if you are just drinking coffee.
A recent study was published in January 2012 and according to researchers, the results were very positive.  Those that took the green coffee bean extract lost weight significantly.
In the particular study, a group of obese men and women were given the green coffee bean extract at doses of 1,050-mg and 700-mg.  Another group was given placebo capsules. All participants in the group were then told not make any diet or lifestyle changes. After six weeks, subjects who were taking the green coffee bean extract lost weight and they lost an average of 16 to 17 lbs.  This is considered a major breakthrough considering that it took only six weeks for the supplement to achieve the effect.  Measurements were taken carefully for documentation and these include body weight, body mass index, and percentage of body fat. And what is amazing is that the significant decrease was seen in all aspects as well.
The chlorogenic acid has always been considered to be an antioxidant and its health benefit comes from its capacity to slow down the release of glucose into the blood stream after a meal. There were independent analysis of the clinical trials (three in all) and the reviews also conclude that the green coffee bean extract is an effective weight loss supplement.

Since its endorsement by well-known TV personality and Medical Professional Dr. Mhemet Oz, Green Coffee Bean Extract has been made available online.  Sold in bottles of 800mg capsules, it is recommended to be taken twice daily or as directed by your healthcare professional.
